"Nibbling Scoundrel," Steven said, as though this made perfect sense. "Tiny mouse who lives a life of crime."

"I... see," Watts said slowly, in a tone that made it clear that he did not.

"It sounds like the name of a character," Steven explained. "In a story. Not - not an existing one. One I'm making up."

"Ah!" Watts said, understanding dawning. "Well. I prefer you as a human-sized man. Not a tiny mouse. For the record."

"You could carry me in your pocket if I was a mouse," Steven pointed out.

"Maybe so," Watts acknowledged. "But it would not make up for the plethora of things I would not be able to do with you."

"Harder to kiss," Steven guessed. "I don't know if mice have lips."

"Don't care to find out," Watts replied, turning around again so he was facing Steven. "I have said it before, and I will continue to say it: I prefer you exactly as you are."

Steven felt warm inside. "Would you still love me if I was a mouse though?"

On this island it could happen.

"I would," Watts said. "I would love you if you were a mouse or a moose."

Steven chuckled. "I'd love you if you were a grouse or a goose?"

Watts let out a little huff of laughter of his own. "I'm glad," he admitted. "Though let us hope it does not come to that."

Steven smiled at him fondly, loving the sight of Llewellyn when he laughed. "Indeed. Though only because our current shapes make it far easier to show affection to one another."

"Like so," Watts agreed, pressing a series of light kisses along Steven's jaw.

Steven tilted his head to give Llewellyn access. "Like so. Fairly certain that's impossible for a goose, no matter who it's attempting to kiss.

"Could give you a peck," Watts pointed out, emphasizing his point with a kiss to Steven's cheek.

Steven giggled. "For free? Wouldn't ask about putting it on the bill?"

"A special for scoundrels," Watts replied, as if he hadn't just made a pun of his own.

"Lucky scoundrel," Steven said, and gave Llewellyn's cheek a peck of its own.

"My very own scoundrel," Watts added, pressing in close for a proper kiss.

"Exclusive," Steven agreed, before wrapping his arms around Llewellyn as he kissed him back.

"As I like it," Watts murmured, melting against Steven.

"Yours, yours, yours, yours," Steven said, kissing Llewellyn between each word. Just so the exclusivity was clear.

"Mine," Watts agreed. "As I am yours."

Steven held Llewellyn tighter. "Good. I've strong feelings about that as well."
