If there was anything amiss on the island, Watts was unaware, as he and Steven had done their usual Saturday routine of heading off-island for services and running errands, and then back home where Watts would get to baking and then piano practice.

Today, since strawberry season was officially upon them, he was making strawberry shortcake, slicing the strawberries slowly and methodically as he waited for the biscuits to finish baking.

Steven, still in a happy and playful mood from successfully pouncing on Llewellyn, swung their hands together as they walked. "Mine all mine."

"Yours," Watts said, pulling him in for a kiss just outside their bedroom doorway.

"Yours," Steven replied as he returned that kiss.

"How lucky am I," Watts said, twirling them in to the bedroom. "To get to spend the rest of my days with the love of my life?"

"Someone you can dance with?" Steven asked. Not that they were fully dancing, but surely a twirl counted?

"An excellent partner," Watts agreed. "For dancing and- otherwise." That last word was punctuated with him reaching to lift Steven's shirt up over his head.

Steven lifted his arms to help make removing his shirt easier. "I'm all right for otherwise now. Though it'd be nice if we both got our kit off."

"That is the plan," Watts said, once he'd divested Steven of his shirt.

Though he was going to take a moment to run his hands up Steven's chest just because.

Steven blushed but tried to hold still so Llewellyn could do that very thing.

Watts smiled, leaning in to press a kiss to the crook of Steven's neck.

Steven tilted his head to give Llewellyn access. "That feels nice."

Which just encouraged Watts to do it again, naturally.

Steven shivered pleasantly. "That too."

"You're nice," Watts said, looking back up at Steven.

Steven blushed again, but all the same he managed a, "Thank you. So are you. Is it all right I say that?"

"Perfectly all right," Watts said, one hand reaching up to caress Steven's cheek. "Now- I believe we were in the process of divesting ourselves of clothing?"

Never you mind that he'd been the one to hit pause there so he could admire his beau.

"I believe so, yes," Steven said. He gestured between them. "Shall we do it ourselves? Get it over quicker?"

"That does seem logical," Watts admitted, already starting to shrug off his unbuttoned shirt and waistcoat.

It did. Though now Steven was distracted by watching Llewellyn more than undressing himself.

Watts caught that look, giving Steven a playful grin in return. "Your trousers, darling," he said. "Off with them."

"What? Oh, right." Steven started undoing the front of his trousers. "Not my fault you're so wonderful to look at."

"Could say the same of you," Watts acknowledged, since he had taken a moment of his own to appreciate Steven just then.

Once more, Steven blushed. "Thank you. Suppose it works out that we distract each other. Makes it even, I mean."

Now fully divested at clothing, Watts smiled warmly at Steven. "Properly balanced."

Amazingly, Steven had been distracted enough that he'd fallen behind. He quickly got rid of the rest of his clothing, leaving it in a pile to be worried about at a later time. "There we are. Balanced indeed. Where would you like me?"
