If there was anything amiss on the island, Watts was unaware, as he and Steven had done their usual Saturday routine of heading off-island for services and running errands, and then back home where Watts would get to baking and then piano practice.

Today, since strawberry season was officially upon them, he was making strawberry shortcake, slicing the strawberries slowly and methodically as he waited for the biscuits to finish baking.

"I very much enjoy being pounced upon, by you," Watts shared.

Steven quickly leaned up to give Llewellyn a kiss on the nose. He grinned. "Pounce."

"Scoundrel," Watts said fondly.

"I have you now, don't I?" Steven said. "Successful pouncing on my part I'd say."

"You have me now," Watts agreed. "Could have me in another sort of way, too, if you liked," he added playfully.

Steven pretended to think. "More than having you make shortcake for us and then getting to pounce on you?"

"More than that, yes," Watts affirmed.

"I'd be well spoiled then," Steven said.

"I enjoy spoiling you," Watts pointed out.

Steven nuzzled Llewellyn's cheek. "You're rather good at it."

"Likewise," Watts replied. "So- what do you say, then? Would you like to- have me?"

"Forever," Steven said. "Yes, please."

Watts laughed again. "Good to know," he acknowledged. "But I was speaking in a more immediate, carnal sense."

"Ah," Steven said. His grin did not abate. "I'd like that as well, yes. What did you have in mind?"

"You," Watts said, fingers trailing lightly along the line of Steven's jaw. "Inside of me."

Steven blushed, even as he leaned into the touch. "With my clothes off?"

Since that had been requested earlier.

"We could probably manage if you wanted to remain clothed," Watts acknowledged, taking the question literally. "Though you'd have to undo your trousers at the least."

The question had been meant literally, so that worked out. "You seemed to prefer it that way earlier?"

"I like seeing all of you," Watts said. He gave Steven a thoughtful look. "Is that- surprising?"

"More flattering?" Steven said, after giving it some thought. "I'm glad that you do?"

"You are a beautiful man, Steven Grant. Physically- and your heart as well."

"Thank you," Steven said. "It's filled with love for you, you know."

"Something that astounds and delights me every single day," Watts replied.

"Good." Steven gave Llewellyn a kiss, then stepped back and gestured to himself. "Shall I? Or did you prefer upstairs?"

"Perfectly amenable to either option," Watts said, with a matching gesture that indicated Steven could decide.
